Borealis Heavy Blend

Stream Description

Borealis Heavy Blend (BHB) is a Suncor Energy Canada diluted bitumen (dilbit) comprised of SAGD produced bitumen and hydrotreated naphtha/conventional diluent.

It is shipped from Fort McMurray to Edmonton and Hardisty, then to further markets across North America.

Batch: BHB-1348 --- Date: July 02, 2026 --- Sample Location: Hardisty

Density, TAN, and metals were marginally increased, while C4 x C7 contents were decreased, for the July sample of Borealis Heavy Blend. Simulated distillation results showed smaller naphtha and gas oil cuts with a larger residue.
